Sound description: Born in Mississippi, Sonny G cut his teeth playing funk and R&B within Dallas nightclubs. In 1991, he moved to Monterey and did extended stints at local venues including the Monterey Beach Hotel and Mission Ranch. Since 2000, Sonny G has been doing live music at Carmel Valley’s Los Laureles Lodge on Fridays and Saturdays. Sonny G performs everything from classic rock like The Eagles to “Rat Pack” style jazz.
