There's been a lot of speculation as to why DuVal's Restaurant recently closed its doors in Carmel Valley (Sept. 24). The facts are quite simple: The owner of Los Laureles Lodge and I disagreed on some important points, and it was my choice--and, I think, best for all concerned--to leave.
