It's been more than a year since former Marina mayor Edith Johnsen gave up her post to represent Marina and Seaside in the fourth supervisorial district. But several of the men running for positions in Marina government this fall--as well as longtime observers for city politics--say the former mayor is trying to control Marina's political landscape by working to get her own slate of candidates elected to office.
