A: I hate to see it go. I grew up here and it will always be a part of my childhood. The new cinema will bring in much needed business to oldtown, though.

A: It''s sad in a way. It was a neat place and it''s always sad when something beautiful gets torn down. It''s a shame that the city of Salinas can''t renovate the place. However, I am looking forward to the new theater.

A: I''m very upset and I think it''s ludicrous that they''re tearing it down. I was ready to chain myself to the roof. Salinas is really losing a valuable historic artifact.
