The Marina City Council tonight is slated to increase market rents at Preston Park and Abrams apartments by either 3.3 percent or 4.7 percent.

The City Council first considered the budgets of the former Fort Ord rentals on April 21, but outcry from tenants about lack of inclusion and errors in the staff reports led the council to delay the decision.

The recommended rent increase would raise a two-bedroom Preston Park apartment $37 a month to $1,164 and increase a four-bedroom Abrams unit $54 a month to $1,679.
