Follow-up: What would you do with one week in a seclud ed cabin?

A: A bike trip up the L’Alpe d’Huez Mountain, one of the mountains in the Tour de France. I am biking to the top for my 60th birthday.

A: All the way down to Peru and see Machu Picchu. I have always wanted to go there, I am so intrigued by the history and culture.

Sleeping Beauty: I would spend my week of seclusion reading biographies and catching up on sleep.

A: I would go to my birthplace, Salina, Kansas to see the buffaloes, the last of the protected buffalo herds. My father, as a career soldier, helped to protect the herds.

Beat Niche: I would write a book, just like Jack Kerouac. His writing represents all the strengths and frailties of humanity.
