Street Talk 09.22.11 (asked @ Olympia Plaza in Seaside.)

STEPHANIE BONITATA | Semi-Pro Soccer Player | Auburn

A: I recently moved to Santa Cruz and I really didn’t expect that. I though I’d live in Auburn forever.

Neck-rophobic: I’m really weird about people touching my neck. I freak out. Doesn’t matter who it is, I can’t stand it.

JOE JOHNSON | Public Works | Seaside

A: I had a stroke in July. It gave me a wake-up call to live healthier.

Clock-Watcher: Time. I lost a nephew in Iraq in 2004. There was a suicide attack on his mess hall in Mosul. It taught me to make the most of the moments I have.

ELISE REIDY | Student | Monterey

A: I was in college getting medical training, but I switched to beauty school. It’s a much better fit for me personally.

Master Splinter: My brother used to buy rats to feed to his snakes. I would steal them and give them names. When feeding day came, I always hid them.
