Follow-up: If you could be any insect, what would you be?
ZOE FILBIN | Waitress | Monterey
A: A walker with wedding bells. People always say, “You’re either a newlywed or nearly dead” if you live there.
On the Dots: I’d be a ladybug because it’s the only insect that doesn’t freak me out. People think they’re friendly.
JOSH ROBERTSON | Retired | Pacific Grove
A: A deer. There are more than monarchs and they live here year round. Tourists love ’em and locals wake up to them in the yard.
Cellblock Sermon: I’d be a praying mantis. Nobody messes with them. They’re stone – cold killers.
JANET BRYAN | Manager | Pacific Grove
A: A hairy hippie named Herb holding a sign that says, “Don’t Drive 15 mph on Lighthouse!”
Disturbing Trend: Dragonfly. Full of color and graceful when they fly.
