Christmastime ’10 Wondir welcomed his child, Lil’ Wondir (aka Kahlil), into the world. But that hasn’t slowed Wondir Sr. down at all; it’s just provided him with additional inspiration. This year he’s helped father the beautiful brainchild that is Live from the BASSment, a jam session that takes place every other Tuesday at the Cannery Row Brewing Company. Over the past few years he’s helped sow the liveliest scene in Carmel as a key fixture at Mundaka, where he spins everything from De La Soul’s “Me Myself and I” to Airto Moreira’s “Fingers.” And last Saturday, as he spun from the wine barrel at CRBC, the place was packed until closing.
