Dr. Vogelpohl loves babies, and he’s been delivering them locally for over 30 years. Known for his calm and caring demeanor, he reassures his patients by not ever seeming to hurry, even in the delivery room. Longtime assistant Shelly Albright calls him a “very rare breed,” adding, “the nurses in the hospital all sing his praises.” So too, must his own family – the doctor and his wife have eight kids (now adults) and several grandchildren. Dr. Vogelpohl helped them all take their first breath.
