When chef Bhupender Singh and Ambrosia manager Sam Khanal moved down from the other bay some years back, local lovers of South Asian cuisine no longer had to travel far and wide for culinary aromatherapy. Whether one prefers the old standby chicken tikka masala or the decadent veggie malai kofta—or even, perhaps, a vegan samosa—the tastes and smells coming out of Ambrosia’s kitchen inspire a devoted clientele that can have their chat, and eat it too.
