The erstwhile military installation is expansive, offering 86 miles of trails over an area the size of San Francisco County, and plenty of opportunity to find yourself all alone with two wheels and nature. Local legend has it that somewhere within the 7,200 acre park is a dummy town that has been used for SWAT training exercises – and, as insiders know, named “impossible.” Be on the lookout, soldier.
