If you are in need of a tattoo but want to watch a movie, Creative Visions in Monterey has you covered. “The biggest thing people tell me it feels like home,” says Sean Poland, the shop’s manager. “We provide a good service to the people who come in.” Six artists do up a full range of custom ink jobs. Add in Cody Vaughn, the shop’s body piercer—an instructor at the Fakir Intensive workshop for piercing education in San Francisco—and you have what Poland calls “a friendly, homey attitude.”
