Street Talk 11.08.12 (asked @ the library at CSUMB.)

What is the biggest misconception about CSUMB students?

Follow-up: How would you change your school?

DAVID NIXON | Student | Seaside

A: That students at CSUMB are not political and don’t care. I believe that students don’t have the chance to express their concerns.

Up Side: I would stress art and cultural awareness. I would reconstruct the system where students will have a bigger voice.

YESENIA MACIAS | Student | Seaside

A: That a bunch of rich kids come here. Just because we live in Monterey doesn’t mean we’re rich.

Class Up the Joint: I would change how departments are organized. They don’t communicate effectively with each other.

AVERY GOULD | Student/Restaurant Worker | Seaside

A: That it’s not a good school and people that go here are dumb.

Big Ideas: I would make classes bigger, make it easier for students to get into classes and have a bigger language department. I would also give the school a football team.
