Witty piece but where's the point? Al Gore and all those mad dummies followkng him are against big-oil and LIFE destruction caused by it. Just as me when I smell gas exhausts in town and are afraid to breath, not because Gore is inducing any fear, but because I know from facts and svientific info that minute particles induce lung cancer and other diseas.
I agree with you that from a marketing point the spread of fear creates anxious sentiment which could be pray of a more reassuring information sponsored by fossil fuel stakeholders. That's a communication mistake. But one thing is clear to me from my early study in engineering: we must get rid asap of thid fuel burning engines wasting 70% of their energy in heat in the air. The combustion engines arr the most stupid and dangerous invention the mad ever made. And Big Oil are shamelessy preventing by any mean the MAN to evolve from it (just think about the fight against the electric cars and all the refitting to gas fuel instead).
