Last year was good for Gardens & Villa: The Santa Barbara outfit's self-titled debut received props from outlets including Pitchfork, Filter and NPR. The quintet—think Blur meets The Kinks meets The Talking Heads—appears to already be on pace for another good year.
They have a few opening slots lined up with The Shins this spring and will play the monster, sold out Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival in just a few days.
On May 11, Gardens & Villa will bring its dreamy and catchy synth-pop to Cal State Monterey Bay's shoebox sized Black Box Cabaret.
Stay tuned for more on these dynamic up-and-comers and their upcoming show in Seaside.
