United Way Recruiting Volunteers for Homeless Count

The United Way is looking for volunteers to help count the homeless on the Monterey Peninsula and in Salinas for the biennial Homeless Census. Anyone can volunteer, but must complete training on January 18 at Seaside's Oldemeyer Center or on January 19 at Salinas' City Hall Rotunda building, both from 6-7pm.

Volunteers will meet at either the Salvation Army in Seaside or at the First United Methodist Church in Salinas on January 26 from 5:30-10:30am and will work in small teams of 3 with an experienced guide to count the homeless. For more information contact chspmontry@aol.com or by calling 883-3080.
