The Grower-Shipper Vegetable Association has named Steve Collins' replacement on the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board: Mike Scattini of Luis Scattini and Sons, a Castroville artichoke operation.

Scattini also sits on the Monterey Farm Bureau Board of Directors. His term on the MCWRA board is set to expire Dec. 31 of this year.

Collins resigned from the board last month after the Weekly revealed that he had been paid $150,000 for consulting for RMC Land and Water, the company that was awarded a $28 million contract to manage the Regional Desalination Project.
