As California angles for a statewide reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020, the Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging Network and Monterey Bay Electric Vehicle Alliance are working to get more charging stations installed across the Central Coast region.
They just added a juicy location to their list: Del Monte Shopping Center. The open-air mall in Monterey unveiled its two new EV charging stations on July 24, along with displays of electric cars including the Tesla Roadster, Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt.
The mall's charging station is the result of a partnership between Car Charging Group, Inc. and Ace Parking Management.
Other local charging stations include the West Custom House Garage, City Hall and Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey; Rabobank, Costco and Wild Things Animal Rentals in Salinas; Victory Toyota in Seaside; and Ciudad del Rey Motel in King City.

Charging station has now becoming a trend to people and even to auto makers. The main goal of this is not just to earn revenue but also to help people with their common problems such as battery charging and even car emission. It's also good thing to here that even the best models of today could also be catered there such of Nissan leaf which i personally own. Charging stations in conclusion is a great help and also a boon in today's industry. On the other hand, for Nissan leaf owners like me, we don't need to rush things on the maintenance since there are now local service centers that are willing to give their helping hand. Plus the fact that [NISSAN parts & accessories][1] can now be accessed at ease and good deals.
