Salinas Narrows Police Chief Candidates to Three

Six months after former Salinas Police Chief Louis Fetherolf retired after nearly three years in the role, the city has narrowed its search for a replacement to three finalists.

The candidates are Deputy Salinas Police Chief Kelly McMillin, Marina Police Chief Eddie Rodriguez, and Kathleen Ann Sheehan, police chief of Port Hueneme, a city in Ventura County with a population of 22,000.

Members of the public are invited to meet the candidates tomorrow at city hall following interviews with City Manager Ray Corpuz.

The meet-and-greet takes place tomorrow, Tuesday May 15, at Salinas City Hall, 200 Lincoln Ave., from 3-4pm.

Since Fetherolf stepped down because of back surgery that put him on medical leave, Deputy Chief Cassie McSorley has served as interim chief.
